I think that Katie should have gone back to the house because the rebels were coming closer to Katie's house and the book says that Katie didn’t want the rebels to ruin any of their things. There was also more safety in the house because there were more places to hide, but the rebels still found Katie.

I think Katie should stay hiding in the forest with her family because it is a lot saver in the forest. It is also very dangerous hiding in a chest where the rebels could find her.If I were here I would rather let her house get ruined then risk her life.

I think that Katie was wrong to run back to her house and that she should have gone to her parents to be safer since her mom was calling her. When she found her parents hidden in the forest, she could have told her dad that she would be willing to go get the Tories so that the rebels would be caught. Also, when she was in the trunk, she lost oxygen, so she could have died. By staying in the house, the rebels could have found her and taken her. She would have been safer hiding in the forest with her parents in the underbrush.

I think Katie should not have run back to the house. Thew rebels could have easily killed her, because she was alone. If it weren't for John Warren Katie would not have been alive. Her mom and agreed with me. Her mom's "fierce whisper" was trying to call her back. This matter could have been a lot worse.

I think Katie should have not gone back into to the house because one, she lost air and would have died if John Warren made the lie to call of the rebels. She could have easily been killed, taken away or maybe worse. She should of stayed in the forest where she could not be spotted.

I think Katie was wrong to run to the house, because what if she ran into rebels on the way there? She could of gotten hurt if the rebels were shooting everywhere, trying to scare Tories. Also, if John Warren didn't open the trunk, she could of suffocated. And her ma's whisper could of given away katies' family's location anytime...

I think she should have gone back to her house since the rebels would have taken all of their English goods and fortunal stuff. If she didn't go to her house, then John Warren would have never felt her hand and told the rebels to go out and to run away. I thought that maybe she should have gone back to her home.

I think that Katie shouldn't have ran back to the house. That is because the rebels were coming and it was dangerous. It had been a good thing that John Warren saved her. Who knows what they could of done to her. She was alone and could have been killed , and it was a biid risk she was willing to take. I think that she was really brave though. She had also could've been hurt.

i think it was right for Katie to run to the house. it is not right for the rebels to steal her stuff. it is not just. she was also lucky that john warren saved her.

i think that katie was wrong to go back to her house because the rebels could have killed her. if it weren't for john warren then the she could have died. When katie said that "it was not just,it was not fair", she still did not have to run back to the house where she could have died.

Yes, because those rebels can't steal their valuable stuff if it's not even theirs to take. And if she didn't run into the house the tories would have never came. and in the mama's trunk, Katie was blocking the money. So it was like she saved the money. and thats why i think it was good to run.

I think that Katie should have ran because the rebels would probably not hurt her because she was a child. the rebels also had no right to take their things.

I think Katie should have ran back to the house because she wanted to protect her property and not let the rebels ruin her things. In the story it says that she did not want the rebels to ruin her things.

Katie should have never run back to her house. She was risking her life. The rebels would have killed her if it wasn't for Warren to save her. Anyway she should have stayed with her family where it was safe so she wouldn't have been captured by the rebels. Katie is only one girl against many grown men, and it would be very stupid, silly, and dangerous to go out from her hiding, just because of what she thinks is wrong or write.

I think Katie should have stayed in the woods with the rest of her family. She was in great danger when she was in the house. The rebels might have found and killed her,and she might have been taken hostage, which would have put the rest of the family in trouble.

I think that she was totally wrong to run back to her house. She would've been killed!!! If John Warren haven't come then I bet she would be at least injured by the rebels, because who knows what they could of done to her. The rebels was armed right, and Katie have only had a trunk and dresses.

I think Katie should have not ran back in to her house. She was just risking her life for the house!!! I think that is just crazy. Also Katie should listen to her mom and her mom said to not go to the house but Katie just ran in. Say that her mother was right and the rebels kidnapped her? Without John Warren's yell the rebels would have found her. Then Katie would have wished she listened to her mother. This is why I think that Katie should have not ran back into her house.

I think Katie should have ran because if she didn't, the rebels would have taken all the precious things in her house even though it was not just. And when John found her, he saved her from the rebels and from suffocation, Katie had hope that not all the rebels were bad, if she hadn't found that out, she would have continued thinking that all rebels were bad.

I think Katie shouldn't have ran back because the rebels were dangerous. If even the father was afraid Katie should be terrified. I'd rather hide and let them take the things than be dead.

I think katie should not have ran back because the rebels are very dangerous. Theey could hurt her or evan kill her. She only survived because of the rebels leader. If the leader was not there it would be bad. That's why she souldn't have ran back to the house.:)

I think katie shouldn't have gone back to her house. She could have been killed by the rebels, and if it hadn't been for John warren calling "the tories are coming". Even if the rebels were going to ruin her house I think it is not worth it to die!!!

I think she should have stayed with her family in the woods. It was not worth going back to save her stuff and almost getting killed. When she hid in the trunk, she was almost found. Possessions are not worth your life.

I think Katie did the right thing when she hid in the trunk because when John saw her he lied to get the rebels away. Katie had noticed that he he still had one seam of goodness in him.

I think she was wrong to go back to the house. Even with precious belongings, would you get your life killed. If it wasn't for John, she could of died. Its the same thing for earthquakes and other disasters too. Would she rather save her possessions or get killed in a earthquake? I know I would run for my life if I want to live.

i think it was a good idea for katie to go back to here house because if she dident she might get cought by other rebels or people who broke in there house but hiding in a trunk was good because no one almost found here so thats my reason.
